School
based lesson study for special student must be develop to solve teaching
learning problems in special condition. Lesson study comes from Japan. It’s
developed by Center
of Research and International Collaboration and Education Development (CRICED)
Tsukuba Jepang. In the beggining, Lesson Study is used to teach Mathematics
education and Extraordinary education but now other courses also use Lesson
Study in teaching learning process. Basic elements of lesson study are
cooperation. The benefit of Lesson study are to increase teacher
proffesionalism, to increase quality of teaching learning, to develop
potential and serve needs of students, to develop kinds of
teaching aid etc.
Some problems of mathematics learning for children with
special needs such as learning material also occur if the other revolves around
the utilization and processing mathematical information, using information
related to mathematics, given some understanding or mathematical procedures, looking
for a relationship and using mathematics. Another problem associated with physical
or other constraints, can be derived from the likelihood they can not read well,
do not understand the meaning or intent emblems or symbols of mathematics, can
not concentrate or focus and can not control themselves. For that Torey Hayden (2004)
suggested that teachers need to focus on core matters, measures and strategies to
use simple and clear, always giving and planning assistance whether oral, written
or visual, learning based on the existing context and linking with concrete objects
, repetitions, and serve the needs of supporting learning in the classroom immediately. Lesson Study give solution
for medium-term and long-term to get teaching learning that suitable with needs
of special students.
